The event horizon

This video is a highly edited version of a documentary and includes my favorite part of the episode about black holes and stars.

This simple edit served as an introduction into using Adobe Premier Pro. It may not seem it in the video, but this piece required quite a bit of slicing and dicing between the video and audio.

Although this video was found on the Prelinger archives, the documentary itself is called Cosmos by Neil DeGrass Tyson. This clip is cut from Season one, episode 4.

Cause and Effect

This fun experimental video plays with cause and effect themes. The cause and effect scenario plays out in two video sequences; the 1st screen is the cause and directly effects the 2nd screen with an action.

This short clip is hilarious, but it was very time consuming make. In order for the cause and effect concept to work, I had to find two clips that had the qualities of a cause and effect. Therefore, I had to watch quite a few video clips and short movies to find the content that made it into this video.

An Introduction to Uppsala, Sweden

This video serves as a quick tour-like video of Uppsala, Sweden, as it introduces you to common sights you will see in town, such as places of importance, scenery, or everyday life.

Fact: At the time I was making this video, I was looking to study my Masters at this university

1961 TV glitch Ad

My 1st experiment with glitch art is a 5 minute commercial from 1961. Edited and trimmed down to about 1 min 15 secs, I added multiple glitch sequences to the video, extending it by about 30 seconds.

I think that this is my deepest work of art so far, as this video has multiple messages and interpretations:

- There is the 1961 TV ad commercial itself; which is very interesting to watch, especially as it lets you see cultural and society norms relevant 60 years ago!

- There is the message from the glitches, both from the video and the audio, but most importantly, the audio. When I edited in the glitches I tried to keep whole words in tact, which act as subliminal messages.

- My art professor mentioned that the colorful glitches mixed with the washed out color of  commercial reminded her of the TV show WandaVision; where the new bleeds in with the old, leading everything to a distorted reality.

1980 Abstract Glitch

My 2nd glitch art short. This was originally a 15 minute video, trimmed down to 1 min 30 secs, then I added rotoscoped glitches with a soundtrack and beeps.
