Onward and upward

Onward and Upward, my 1st experimentation with stop motion animation, is composed of a series of button flips that surrounds and inspiring aphorism (meaningful quote,) which in this case is 'Onward and Upwards.'

Onward and Upwards is an inspiring quote that is essentially just saying to always keep moving forward and pursuing your goals and dreams; reaching for the stars.

Onward and Upwards is a quote frequently used by Gretchen Rubin, who hosts the 'Happier' podcast, which is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to because it is so inspiring and motivating.

Pop Balls

POP Balls is a simple stop motion exploring the animation style a bit further, this time adding a lot more frames and incorporating movement and physics.

Similar to the concept of the hydra in Disney Hercules or the gremlin's in Gremlin's, each individual ball creates 2 smaller duplicates when they are compressed against another surface, and then they POP like popcorn.

When the heavy weight falls to the ground, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the balls on the bottom level POP, which breaks the support for other balls on top, proceeding to fall to the ground and POP .

Pizza time!

This fast paced stop motion animation depicts me making a construction paper pizza!

Ingredients include:

- Pizza crust

- Marinara sauce

- Hamburger

- Cheese

- Parmesan Cheese

- Salad (and dressing)

Making this animation really emphasized the pros and cons of stop motion; it was difficult to film because of the many shots (frames) that are required, but at the same time it was beautiful and more magical (so to speak) than regular video because you can easily manipulate things and do things you can't normally do with video, which I explore in my 4th stop motion video, You Want It, You Get It.

You Want It, You Get IT

In this magical stop motion video, I use an enchanted pen and draw pictures of things I have lost or cannot find.

Once the drawings of the lost items are complete, the said objects are summoned and instantly appear before your eyes.

In this video, I summon:

- sunglasses

- a covid mask

- headphones

- leather gloves

- $100 bill

The video ends with a cliffhanger, will I successfully summon the $100 bill?

Project #4 - A.I. Madness

In this stop motion video, a self aware A.I. comes to ask a favor of google assistant. Creating this video was a blast, I had so much fun crafting the story, filming, and doing voiceovers.
